Antique Embalming Fluid Bottle

56.00

This bottle was used for embalming fluid. We obtained this from the estate of a mortician in Worcester, Massachusetts  following his death in 2013.

This is a very nice bottle with no chips or cracks. The bottle is embossed "Rochester Germicide Co. Rochester N. Y.  Pat Jan 25 1883"  It stands around 14 inches tall. It was embossed upside down so that the bottle could be hung with the fluid draining into the cadaver.  I believe this dates to the 1920's despite the patent age being earlier, due to the structure of the bottle and seams.
