Acherontia atropos ( Death's Head Hawk Moth)

75.00

These incredible creatures have a vaguely shaped pattern  of a skull on their thorax. Some are much more pronounced than others.  They have been featured throughout art and culture for far longer than their more recent upswing in popularity due to their romanticised connection to death. This moth has been professionally spread and mounted by Greg Bowser and is backed by acid free paper and sealed in a wooden shadow box.  We have a few, so you will receive this one or a similar one to the moth  photographed here.
